Awesome re-cap bro. In Ohio, you have or had somewhat of a gem of criterium ops... We have 'em out there, but they are so spread out. I believe the local college here has a small scene that I'll have to check out. Hope you get check out more, because well, they're cool to watch, but I like to read about that stuff too. Great grabs with the camera too... Really dig the one with the rider checking out their drive train, the kiddie, and of course the shirt...!

Peace,
Jerry

Congrats and prop to Tony, and all the rest. Not sure I could do a solo single speed race just yet, but I'm itching so bad for a 24 hour event. We'll see.

Its so true about momentum and the one gear. When I'm riding with geared riders, and we're grouped fairly close just before a climb, I have to stall - let them get about 3/4 of the way in to the climb, then I can start. I'll usually catch them by the top.

Thanks for posting this article though, keen to see someone I know getting down on the one gear.. Peace.

You know, I felt bad posting the "get out" just after you noted that you would on the DL list, sorry bro! ;)

Still not smoking, this is now a personal best. Guys at work - they'll come around again, I'm sure. Its soooo tough, and more in a way thats escapes words, but I'll try to describe it soon - elsewhere though.

Will be hooking with the Spoke Junkies this Sunday I think - we'll see how that goes too.

I did just check out their site though, Ohio has it goin' on for trails it seems... Great Seal looks very cool, as does that Van Buren place - lotsa bridges? I miss bridges.. we don't have many out here.

Okay bro, have a great weekend!

Cool show - and keen to see some creative and positive things coming out of the bike community there (not to imply it's a negative scene at all). Really dig the messenger bags, too bad my crumpler is still holding up (amazing, really). But now I've got somewhere to look now for a replacement.

Your images are right on bro :)

There's a Veloswap going on tomorrow at the fairgrounds, people like Ted Danielson, Ned Overend, Juliana Furtado (?) and others will be selling their used parts and schwag. Hopefully I'll have a little report on it.

Love that screenprint too....

Peace!

Damn, keen field report, bro. I miss the riding from out west for sure, but then I just need to get on the trails back here in Ohio. Good to see that quiting smoking is moving in a positive direction, keep it up. FYI, at work they failed to quit and have fallen off the wagon, so to speak. They can always attempt it again in the future. Ride Safe!!!!
Peace,
Patrick

Man, that really sucks friend. Being ordered off the bike by an official source has to bite. Well, here's to a more than speedy recovery, and well, maybe this will give you a little time to work on some more of those cemetery shots :D Get well soon bro, sending energy your way.. speaking of sending.. you'll have to hit me with your address there, not sure I have it yet.
